Then you can start adding things to it! >tutorial We recommend also installing the Bin patch >learn more When working with add-ons for Microsoft Train Simulator, you will need to become familiar with the Train Simulator directory on your computer's hard drive - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator all locomotives and rolling stock are
located in your TRAINSET folder(inside the
TRAINS folder) Once you receive the E-mail containing the link to download your file, click on the link, and then click to save the download to a location on your computer's hard drive. You will have at least 24 hours to download your file. We will send another link if needed. You can then unzip the file and look for the ReadMe for further instructions. Make sure your E-mail's security options are turned off. A link in an E-mail is sometimes detected and sent to your SPAM folder, or the link is simply removed from the email you see. A blank page is not really blank. Also, empty out your E-mail account if you are over your mailbox limit. If your mailbox is full, we can't deliver. If the link does not appear to be clickable, copy and paste the link into your browser window. Diesels West locomotive sets for Train Simulator® are usually a 'down-load product', but if you require a CD, we can send one out click here If the CD is for a past order, let us know which locomotive sets you ordered. If you are using a 'dial-up', or you have a slow internet connection, you may need to try your download several times before having success. A slow connection or busy network can have more FTP errors occurring. Often times when you first click the link, it will appear to download almost instantly. Close the download window, and start over when that happens. When your down-load is successful, the size of the ZIP file will be large (Megabytes...not Kilobytes). If an FTP (file transfer protocol) error occurred during the down-load process, your file size will probably be in the KB range, and Windows will identify it as an invalid or corrupt file. An invalid file is an incomplete file and you won't be able to unzip it. Down-load it again if this occurs. When downloading files from the internet, you may need to disable any security software. This includes email filters preventing links to be visible inside emails. Should you be unable to down-load a locomotive set, we can send you a CD. Cost for a CD is $5.00, shipping to an overseas location would need to be calculated Following the download process, locate your download and
unzip the file. Copy and Paste each locomotive folder(i.e. UP9103) into
your 'TRAINSET' folder > C:/Program Files/Microsoft
Games/Train Simulator/TRAINS/TRAINSET
First, you will need to build a new consist (or alter an existing one), by opening your activity editor. It can be found by clicking your 'Start' button (on your desktop) and locating Microsoft Games>Train Simulator>Train Simulator Editor & Tools Now click to open the activity editor. Open the route folder you want(i.e. "USA1") and then go into the 'Activities' folder and click any activity listed. Now click the 'Edit' button next to 'Player service' and you will see the consist list. You can change the locomotives in an existing consist, or make a new one. Make sure you don't use 'TU' locomotives as lead units, when adding our locomotives. If you are altering an existing activity, make sure you
don't change the train's overall length. A different train length can
cause the activity's time table and starting point to be incorrect, which
can trigger error messages. It may be necessary to click 'recalculate
everything' in the activity editor before you save and exit. You can change
traffic trains too, but be mindful of the traffic train's overall length.
Don't put a long traffic train on a short siding, etc. Specific directions for installation are available with every download as a 'Readme' file. Follow these directions carefully. DIESELS
